100 Landmarks Promotion (USA) |
This promotion involved a number of Zoo's as well as many Maritime Museums. The STT's given away were for the Warships and Wildlife in Danger packs. |
2003 Pagani Zonda S STT |
Although both the Dutch and English STT's are as good as identical, apart from the obvious difference of the language you will also notice differences between the red and yellow gradient of the stat bars. |
30 Rockefeller Plaza STT |
The Rockefeller Plaza STT was a part of the huge Winning Moves push into America. The STT was given away to visitors of the building as part of the USA 100 Landmarks Promotion. |
39 REGT RA STT |
The rear of the card shows the pack that the STT is played with, however, on closer inspection there are some differences with the title card. The original pack reads Fighting Units of the British Army and is all in yellow. The image portrayed on the rear of the STT reads Fighting Forces of the British Army and the word Army is in white. |
| 6 BN REME |
A lot of mystery still surrounds the outlet of this card. It was assumed due to a few hints that the card was to be given out to people who sent in an SAE in reply to an article in the Soldier Magazine (December 2007 - January 2008) before the end of January 2008. However, after much detective work by a few members on the Planet Top Trumps forum it was found out that only 2,000 were ever printed and was not available to the general public through any promotion. It was however, printed by Winning Moves as a free gift for the soldiers serving in Iraq with the 6 BN REME. It did leak out though after relatives serving acquired some cards which eventually filtered down. |
| Aayla Secura (US) |
This STT, although exactly the same on the front there is a small difference on the back. The US card has an FAO Schwartz logo in the bottom right of the card on the back, in recognition to it being distributed by FAO Schwartz in NYC and Las Vegas, US. |
Arthur Weasley STT |
The Arthur Weasley STT can be played with all three packs in the Harry Potter series: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and of course, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The German release of this card is different in just one way. The UK release has the name in a shiny green but the German release has not. |
Aurra Sing STT |
Like the Balrog STT, the Aurra Sing STT was also available in a few US packs. It was to be found in Parker Brothers Military Fighting Machines, Ultimate Military Jets, Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers and The Simpsons. An interesting thing to note with this STT is that it lacks anything on the back of the card to say that it is an actual STT. |
Balrog STT |
The Balrog STT were given out as Promotional goods at Odeon Cinemas at the showing of Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers, both in USA and UK. There are a few colour variations to the card, more so with the USA ones. The card could be found in sealed Parker Brothers packs of Ultimate Military Jets, Dinosaurs, Predators including the foil sealed release (promotion) and Military Fighting Machines. The differences are Brown/grey and white stripes or brown and white stripes or just brown stripes that were see through where the stats are or a misprinted bottom that is soild black. The card that came in the foil sealed Predators pack is also slightly larger with more squared corners. |
| Batista STT (Australian) |
The Batista STT was given away free with the Australian June 2008 issue, no53, release of Krash magazine. |
Beaulieu Promotion |
Another one of those promotions that were shrouded with confusion with no-one working at the promotion site knew anything about it. The cards; Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and the Mercedes SLSS AMG, were given away when passing through the gates, only, all this despite offers of ticket purchase in order to obtain them both. But, to the annoyance of many collectors the cards miraculously appeared enmass on a certain auction site and not surprisingly sold for very high amounts. |
Berhooz Araz STT |
An interesting anomaly here with this STT. The card spelling is incorrect and should read Behrooz instead of Berhooz. |
Bonecrusher STT & Jorge Figueroa STT |
The Bonecrusher STT and the Jorge Figueroa STT were both given away free with all purchases of the Transformers pack from Woolworths around the first and second weeks of August 2007. The 2 cards were given away as a Booster pack, both coming in a sealed plastic packet. The Australian Bonecrusher was given away free (on its own) in Krash magazine Issue 48 January 2008 (released December 2007). One major diffenrence is that the UK card has shiny numbers whereas the Australian one does not. |
| Bottlenose Dolphin and Booster pack |
The Bottlenose Dolphin STT made available in one of three Booster packs which were given away free with any purchase of Summer shoes made at all Stride Rite stores in the US. |
Bruce Wayne STT |
This STT could be found in a Booster pack containing Bruce Wayne, Commissioner Gordon, Darkseid and Killer Frost were given away with the German release of Batman Comic issue 20. The Bruce Wayne card is the only card that is an actual STT. |
Chancellor Palpatine STT |
This STT was limited in its availability and was avilable only at the Official Star Wars Celebration in London or at the Top Trumps stand (S97) at the same show, but like with other STT's there soon became a flood of them. |
| Cléopâtre STT |
The Cléopâtre STT was made available by simply sending an SAE to the French branch of Winning Moves. It would be so much easier for collectors and serious fans if all STT's were made available in this way for a limited time only. |
Comic Book Guy STT |
The Comic Book Guy STT was available in the Parker Brothers Star Wars, Shrek 2, Dinosaurs and Predators. There are also 2 different variations of this card, one has a dark blue border around the picture and the other has not. Interestingly, there is nothing to say that this is an actual STT. |
| Davros |
The Davros STT was made available in the Doctor Who DVD - Series 4 Volume 4 with the release date of September 1st 2008. As with most other promotional releases of STT's, this one was available on a certain auction site well before the official release date of 01/10/2008. We here at UTT make this a 2008 favourite as it is a link between the past and present episodes of Doctor Who and also with the pack spanning the 45 years. So it is more pack specific than most follow-up pack releases. |
Der Herr Der Ringe: Die Trilogie Booster |
The Booster pack contained 3 STT's Gil-Galad, Haldir and Smaégol. The Booster pack was given away as a free gift to visitors of the 2004 RingCon and to make this an even more special event the actors who played these characters were also present! |
| Doctor Who STT's |
The US Dalek Sec STT was given away when you purchased some Doctor Who figures, while the UK Dalek Sec was found in Series 3 Volume 4 titled Utopia, The Sound of Drums and Last of the Timelords, released 20th August 2007. The Doug Howlett STT was a part of a mini pack/Booster pack that contained 9 other cards in all; Aaron Mauger, Ali Williams, Carl Hayman, Chris Jack, Dan Carter, Josevata Rokocoko, Reuben Thorne, Richie McCaw and Rodney So'Oialo. Unlike the cards in the main pack, this nine have different backs to those in the main pack. This pack (sealed) was handed out free, complete in a tuck-box (ref number 871) in the Rugby News: Rugby World Cup 2007 Souvenir Edition through New World and Pak'n Save Supermarkets. In total there were only 2,000 of these STT's printed. |
Duamutef STT |
The Duamutef STT was given away to all visitors who visited the Ancient Egypt display at London's O2 Exhibition Centre around Christmas 2007. This exhibition is the first of its kind in 30 years and to celebrate the fact is this lovely STT. There is a reprinted card released and this is only different on the rear of the card. The first release had just Available Now! on the rear, the second version however reads Available in the Gift Shop. The second version appears to be the more difficult to find. |
East High STT |
This STT was released in the Remix DVD of High School Musical, released in the first week of September 2007. Because these are as always limited, the DVD's that include the card have a sticker to this effect. Morrisons and Woolworths were participants in this promotion. |
Emma Frost STT |
This STT came with the Rogue STT in a plastic packet which was released with both the Spiderman issue 11 and X-Men issue 51. 15,000 of these cards were released. |
Eric The Crocodile STT |
The Eric The Crocodile STT was released in order to commemorate the birthday of the most famous crocodile in Australia, Eric. At 60 years old, Eric became a legend in the Northern Territory during the mid 80's. It was said that he ate some local children and he tore the heads off of 2 female crocodiles, losing a foot in the process! Today, Eric resides in the Australian Reptile Park and enjoys a fan club of 10,000 members. Happy 60th Eric! |
| Eurofighter Typhoon STT (US) |

F35 STT |
This STT was available in the Parker Brothers Star Wars, Shrek 2, The Simpsons and Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers. The card that came in The Simpsons pack was slightly different. The difference being in the top border and was a lighter blue with a slight greenish tint, whereas the others were a dark blue and also the boldness of the lettering. |
Fliegender Nazgûl (German) |
There were only 35,000 of these cards made. |
Flying Nazgul STT |
The Flying Nazgul, has been one of those STT's that saw the heady heights of most wanted and most expensive and as time has passed so to he value has dropped from prices as high as £50.00! One reason for these high prices which are still in double figures at time of writing this may well be due to the fact that it was the very first STT released by Play-A-Day.com. |
Greedo STT |
The Greedo STT was made available in a Booster pack, although this cannot confirmed with any certainty. What is know for certain is that is was given away inside the French Starwars Risk board game. |
Ironhide STT |
The Ironhide STT, to be played with the Transformers pack and is a breakthough in design. The card looks like an ordinary STT until you really look at it and you will see that there are fold lines. The card literally transforms before your eyes giving it 3 faces; the DMC truck, Ironhide himself and the standard looking card back. |
Ironhide (Dutch) STT |
It is not definite but it is thought that the STT was given away free with the Dutch Nickleodeon. |
Ironhide (German) STT |
The German Ironhide is the same as the UK release in as much as it transforms and has the same images and card back, but with the exception that the text is written in 3 languages - German, French and Dutch. |
German DC STT's/Booster Pack |
This Booster pack containing Bruce Wayne, Commissioner Gordon, Darkseid and Killer Frost were given away with the German release of Batman Comic issue 20. |
Harry Potter and the Goblett of Fire STTs & Booster Pack |
These STT's, 3 in all; Amos Diggory, Lord Voldemort and Professor Flitwick were given away with all pre-orders of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD at all Woolworths stores. There was some kind of error with the distribution which led to the Booster pack being too readily available and soon swamped popular places of purchase. |
| Indiana Jones STT's & Booster |
The Indiana Jones STT's (Russian Soldier and Ugha Warrior) were made available as freebies in the June issue of Kids National Geographic. It proved to be very awkward because there were 2 STT's in each magazine, both turned face down and more strangely both the same! Interestingly though, the STT's have a leathery look and feel to them, making them a first for this kind of effect. There was a Booster pack also released as promotion run by certain Woolworths stores. I say certain because it was apparent that some knew nothing of this promotion. The Booster was given away with every purchase of the main pack; Indiana Jones and contained Col. Deitrich, Maharajah Zalim Singh and Marion Ravenwood. Strangely the pack and Booster both show Marion Ravenwood card |
Jacqueline Wilson Booster/STT's |
The booster pack comprising of 3 cards - Best Friends, Jenna Williams and Tracy Beaker were given away in the DVD The Story of Tracy Beaker - Farewell From Me? 2007. The Tracy Beaker card is exactly the same as the card in the pack entitled Jacqueline Wilson - The Best of... with the exception to a shiny blue stat figures. This card has gold stat figures, Title name and border around the description. The cards are all dated to 2006 so this makes the Booster a little special with the changed look of the Tracy Beaker card. |
Kannibalene STT |
This STT was released as a Promotional only and not for re-sale. The STT came on a small sheet and was a pressout card. |
Kelly Osbourne STT |
This STT was made available in a Booster pack that was part of the Poll Winners Party in 2005 and also included a Lee Ryan card and a Girls Aloud card, both of which are slightly different from the cards in the Smash Hits! Pop Stars 3 pack and were not STT's. |
Loch Ness Monster STT & Horror pack |
The Loch Ness Monster STT was unique by the fact that all of the lettering (except the description) was done in a glow in the dark material. Strangely enough, this gave the cards in the pack a distinctive smell of moth balls! |
LOTR Boxset |
STT's - There were 9 STT's included in the box set and cam together in a plastic packet. The STT's could be played with any of the Lord of The Rings packs. An interesting thing to notice with the Isengard STT is that the height is set a 3ft 7ins! |
| Lotus: The Snow Leopard (US) |
This STT given away by by the Binder Zoo Park in Boston as part of the 100 Landmarks Promotion. |
Lord Voldemort (German) |
There were only 10,000 of these cards made and are highly sought after by collectors. |

| Millenium Falke (German) |
The Millenium Falke STT was released inside the box of the Millenium Falke model kit released by Revelle. There were 45,000 of these released. |
Mistress Ching STT (South African) |
The Mistress Ching STT was put into a promotional pack of High School Musical that was destined for South Africa. The High School Musical pack was not in the usual hard flip case but a tuck box and contains the exact same cards as the original pack. There was some confusion about this card as at one point, as it's existence was once denied. |
Moe Szyslak, Homer Simpson Bart Simpson and Lisa Simpson STT's (German) |
These STT's along with the rarer Lisa Simpson were given away free with the German Simpsons magazine 130 August 2007. The year on the rear of the cards is 2000 and yet they were released in 2007 and do actually appear in the original German pack. The only difference is the rear of the cards which clearly state Exklusive Super Top Trumps Karte für das Top Trumps Kartenspeil The Simpsons. |
Mother Bloodtide STT |
The Mother Bloodtide STT was given away as part of an offer that came with BeanoMax Issue 7, September 2007. Such was the popularity of this STT, shops were quickly emptied of their stocks! An interesting difference is that the card titles of the 2006 pack do not have shiny text but are orange and the card titles of the 2007 pack are shiny and silver. The card title of this STT is shiny orange. |
NBA Booster pack |
The Booster pack contained 3 STT's that are to be played with the NBA pack and were made available on the popular swap site for children, Swapitshop.com. There were a total of 5,000 Booster packs made available, strictly through Swapitshop, but needless to say that some did eventually end up on eBay. |
| NBA 2008-09 STT's |
There were 6 STT's released forthe NBA 2008-09 pack which were given away at the NBA event held at the O2 Arena in London around the end of September/beginning of October 2008. It is believed that like the Da Vinci Code STT's they originally were distributed in builk packs of 33 cards to be broken down by the distributor. The STT's are: Carlos Boozer, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Kevin Martin, Paul Pierce and Tracy McGrady. |
| Oberst Dietrich STT |
The STT and Booster it came in was made available free in the May 2008 release of K-Club Magazin and wasalso the first subscription giveaway from Top Trumps Most Wanted. |
| Postman Pat |
The Postman Pat pack was originally released in 2005. But oddly these 2 STT's; Pat's Van and The Greendale Rocket were only available in the Postman Pat DVD entitled Big Boat Adventure which was remarkably released in 2008! |
Power Rangers STT's |
The STT's for the Power Rangers packs are incredibly thin and very easy to crease and because of this understandable reason they were not very popular with collectors. Catastros and Oracle, Beldorf and Kylee Styles, Derek and Magnotron, Pteranodon Zord and Zeltrax, Side Effect Devin and Tyrannodrone, Side Effect Connor and Side Effect Ethan, Krybots and Ringbah, Piggy and Sunoko, Orange Head Krybot and T-Top, Morgana and Orange Ranger, General Banagg and R.I.C., Skullington and Toby Slambrook, Leelee and Taxi Cab and Mucor and Phineas were released as a small sheets of 2 cards each. |
Princess Yasmin STT |
The Princess Yasmin STT was added to the Bratz 2 video game for the Gamecube and PS2. |
Radioactive Man STT |
This card was only ever available without the percentage marks in the Simpsons board game. Saying that, not every game included the STT, so it might have been only a certain number of games released with the card. However, this card has been highly sought after, hence the valuation of £40.00. |
Remus Lupin STT (German) |
This card is exactly the same as the Remus Lupin that can be found in the UK release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The German STT was given away with the German kids magazine K-Club (Nr. 07/2007) along with some other gifts. 133,000 of these were made available. |

Rogue STT |
This STT came with the Emma Frost STT in a plastic packet which was released with both the Spiderman issue 11 and X-Men issue 51. 15,000 only of these cards were released. |
Skytower STT |
There was a huge interest with this STT when it was first announced as it was one of the first STT's to come out of New Zealand! The UK market was suddenly flooded with tens of thoudands, and as is always the case the prices rapidly dropped from £20.00 + to, in some cases less that £1.00! |
Spiderman STT (European) |
The European Spiderman is the first of it's kind to to support 5 different languages; English, German, French, Italian and Hungarian. The card was made available in the Spider-Man version of Monopoly. With items usually containing an STT there is normally a little sticker but not the case with this one so it may be easy to overlook. The only possible way to check if the STT is available is maybe through the barcode on the rear (5010994241902, as supplied by K12umm) and is made by Parker Brothers. Interestingly the image used is the same on all packs and STT's released. |
Sportwagens Booster Pack |
This Booster pack contains 6 cards, each with a car printed on one side while rear of the cards are different except for the 2 STT's; 2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT and 2002 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante. Strangely the back of the Title card has a car as well. The other cards included are; 1997 Venturi Trophy 400, 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7RS, 1999 Chrysler Dodge Viper GTS and 1996 Ferrari F 50 Spider. |

Supersternzerstörer STT (German) |

Temple Church STT (US) |
On first glance of this STT it looks exactly the same as the UK STT. But, when you look at the back you will see the difference. |
The Avengers STT |
This card can be played with all 3 UK Marvel packs. The title of the card ought to have been done in a shiny text but for some reason it is dull. |
| The Master STT (US) |
The Master was given away to all persons who made a purchase from the Who North America website, regardless of amount spent. |
| Titan STT (US) |
This STT was handed out to visitors of Kennedy Space Centre as part of the 100 Landmarks Attractions in US. |
USS Alabama STT (US) |
There is an interesting point to make regarding the measurements used for the Length statistic. This card unlike the USS New Jersey STT has the length in both feet and metres! |
Vampire Bat STT (US) |
The Vampire Bat STT was a part of the 100 Landmarks Promotion and was given away to visitors of many Wildlife parks. The Vampire Bat has become one of those very rare cards and the reason for this is that its sole purpose was to be like a redemption card, so it was handed out and if any posters in the shop displayed the Bat card it could be redeemed for a pack of Wildlife in Danger from the shop. It is thought, although there is nothing certain, that there is roughly a 1 in 66 chance of getting the Vampire Bat through the promotion itself, however this may be wildly innacurate. |
